full full full || 7 things

I like to lay awake in bed in the morning, because I hear things I sometimes don't hear because I'm doing other things. Like birds and car doors opening and closing in the driveway. My sister talking downstairs.

It's then that I often think about how I like sleep and about how morning is such an eager little beast, and how all the little bits and pieces are what make all of this soo full, full, full.

This week has been a WHIRLWIND and to be quite honest I feel like I'm rambling on empty right now because my head is still reaching for the sleep its been missing out on. So here are seven of those bits and pieces.

1:

FINISHING MY EDIT ON THE MANUSCRIPT. O_O

so I'm a little excited over here. In case you couldn't tell. There's still much work to be done, but this definitely a pretty sweet mile stone. A small step for humanity, giant one for me.

2:

the migraine in my head -- a BRILLIANT piece written by a dear friend and blogger. It blew my head and heart and hit SO deep.

3:

A video posted by Kate (@goodnessrevolt) on

I bought the Blurryface record and it is beaut. My sister has a blue, retro turntable in our shared office, so I've been unreservedly blaring it. |-/

4:

second corinthians and pretty much everything from the heart of Paul translation. It is that good. From what I'm seeing, it's like one of those more obscure translations you can buy used for five bucks on amazon??? It's so worth it. If you like the Message translation by Eugene Peterson, you'll reeeally enjoy it.

5:

Seeing a later showing of Alice Through the Looking Glass with a dear friend AND this song from the movie which has been repetitively in my playlists lately.

6:

Seeing one of your best friends after FOREVER AND A FREAKING DAY.

and coffees and talking forever and river trails and things my soul has needed and missed.

shopping + coffees + cake pops in Starbucks with my favorite

Abbiee bought all the clothes and I was so proud of her, although SHE IS ALSO A BLASPHEMER FOR DRINKING ONLY TEA IN A STARBUCKS.

I mean, I'm sitting there drinking two respective coffee beverages and Abbie is over there with some kind of glorified...pink...tea...? Idk, something about that just seems really suspicious to me.

To be honest though, this girl is life.

lOVE,
kATE

OK OK
what made your heart hum this week?? AND who else has seen Alice two? AND WHAT IS YOUR OPINION OF THE PINK TEA MY SISTER IS DRINKING IN A COFFEE SHOP?

I haven't seen Alice yet!! I was invited to go with a friend but I couldn't make it. -_- I've heard it's pretty good though, so I want to check it out!

YOU AND YOUR SISTER ARE JUST THE CUTEST GAH <3

I actually have a friend who gets a tea like that every. single. time. she. goes. to. starbucks. I tried one of the teas there and hated it, but I had a cold so maybe my taste buds were screwed up? Or it was just a weird tea? Who knows. I usually just get a frappuccino bc apparently I'm a basic white girl. XD

  7. Ahhh, so much perfect in this post! What fun! Sister-sister trips are the best. (I've got to say, the pink tea looks pretty delish...) The things that made me so happy this week were finishing the first draft of my novel, chocolate, and spending time with friends. (-:

  8. Kate,

I'm not sure we've met, but I'm Hannah. And I'm kinda loving your blog. Like, really loving it.

I feel you on the fullness of life and how we sometimes need to stop and fill ourselves with the little moments rather than the grand rushes. And these seven things are so wonderful!

CONGRATS on your manuscript!!!!! Serious goals. And I very much would love a record player (hoping to get one sooon). Alice through the Looking Glass looks so great, and I'm looking forward to seeing it Tuesday!

Not going to lie, I've purchased tea at Starbucks before. The menu at Starbucks scares me. Like, I just want a simple coffee, but then I also want to try something new, but what if I just saved my money and made coffee at home? The story of why I never go to coffee shops. This could change.

    Anyway, glad to meet you!

    1. HANNAH, SO GOOD TO MEET YOU TOO! I will go check out your blog asap. Thank you so much for your sweet words!!! Let me know what you think of Alice + I agree about turntables. They are sweeet sauce. Nothing sounds like vinyl to me for some reason idk. Just something about it.

RIGHT??? I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHYYYY THE MENU AT STARBUCKS IS SO COMPLICATED. Coffee should be straight forward and simple. And it also is pricey, and makes me, too, just want to buy coffee and make it at home because I can practically buy AN ENTIRE BAG OF COFFEE for the price of one whip-creamy frappe thingie. XD

  9. LOVE THIS MORE THAN WORDS DUDE.
i support both of your life decisions to drink your respective drinks at starbucks, tbh. love coffee and tea so I'm gonna refrain from condemning either. alsO you are a beautiful sun goddess/mermaid/human in that selfie. like, girl, what. BLURRYFACE VINYL SLFKJSDFKJSLKFJSDL. dying crying wailing tears of joy. so many beautiful things.

    1. DUUUUDE OMG THANK YOU, YOU ARE ALSO A MERMAID SUN GODDESS SO JUST FYI. <3 and literally I was trying so hard to not buy frivolous things, and then I go to the bookstore one night and browse vinyls and there is Blurryface lookING AT ME WITH PUPPY EYES AND SAYING DON'T LEEEAVEE MEEE. basically, I shouldn't browse vinyls when I am trying to save money XD

      YOU DA BOMB

  10. FIRST OF ALL, YOU ARE THE REAL
MVP FOR LINKING MY POST. I FREAKING LOVE YOU.

SECONDLY, CONGRATS ON FINISHING YOUR EDIT AND MEETING THE DEADLINE. MY FAVORITE PART ABOUT DEADLINES IS IGNORING THEM AND SUFFERING THE CONESQUENCES.

Also I spent the morning convincing my
mother that vinyl was still a thing and that we youngins' aren't completely ignorant to the awesomeness of it. #butblurryfaceiswhereitisat

Okay, okay, truth be told(I nEVER WAS YOURS #falloutboyreference), I don't even remember the last time I went to Starbucks??? We don't have one super local and idek I'm kind of hooked on QuikTrip cappuccino even though it's not strong like I prefer my caffeine?? BUT THE PINK TEA LOOKS FABULOUS

My heart has been humming with that rIDICULOUS FLUFFBALL OF A DOG

    1. I FREAKING LOVE YOU BACK AND THAT POST YOUR WROTE IS *WHERE IT'S AT* LIKE I am still mulling that thing over, man. 0_0

THANK YOU. Dude I feel about deadlines. This one I was like I MUST CONQUER. So huzzah for that. XD

SOmething about vinyl just sounds so much better??? Abbie once explained to me the actual science behind this, which has something to do with the groove in the record disc but idek it's just better. XD AND FALLOUT BOY REFERENCES YASSS!

I have never been to a QuikTrip, so ima keep my eyes peeled for it as we head out west this summer and if they exist in WA you must take me to dis place because they sound cool. We have a Starbucks like 30 minutes-ish away, so we don't go often, but when we're there for shopping and stuff it works out.

AND THE RIDICULOUS FLUFFBALL OF A DOG IS SO DARN ADORABLE! I'm so glad y'all kept him. <3

  11. WELL I WORK AT STARBUCKS AND I GET THE PINK TEA QUITE OFTEN SO I APPROVE OF YOUR SISTER. I'm one of those weird Starbucks baristas who actually doesn't drink coffee very often. OOPS. xD

Oh and congrats on your edits! Dude edits are actually the worst so yay for you for completing them! I'm very impressed. xD
