off the face of the earth

Dad woke me up at five o'clock in the morning and we went to the airport. My dad and I sat at a small round table that was plasticy and green and drank starbucks. We flew to Charlotte South Carolina, and from there to Minneapolis. Where we rented a shiny silver car and drove to Duluth. I ate a sandwich while we did that. We slept in a hotel and went to a lunch and met up with our film-makers and had a long meeting and then went to the studio and filmed an interview with my face until nearly nine at night. On the way home it was all cars and flights and a sensory-overload visit to the Mall of America. I bought a flat white for the drive home and wondered if it would inhibit my ability to sleep.

And so that's the story to assure that I haven't quite fallen off the face of the earth.

In other news... I... I FINISHED THE BOOK. And it is in the hands of my editor. So...soon I'm hoping I can write a post and say something like "y'all, here's the amazon link. Go get yo-self a copy." And I honestly cannot wait for that. Because about 112% of my time and brainpower over the past six months has gone into nothing more or less than this book. Book one of three. My very own trilogy of science fiction.

I am so SO pumped to share more with you guys.

Snow there? Last time you flew on a plane, and where to? I LOVE YOU GUYS I MISS YOUUUUS.
Oh, and if the film piques your interest... check this out.
