  1. You know, it really can be an act of bravery to not downplay our ideas and work. It's not easy to just put stuff out there without qualifying it or making excuses for it or telling everyone that it could be better.

Bravery certainly has a lot of different aspects, but moving forward without putting down others OR yourself is a big part of it.

  2. BOOM LIKE WHAT.

I just love talking about deep things like this. Because... we live in a world where these thoughts are thrown easily aside. Instead, the kids of this world talk about boys, girls, crushes, tv shows, and whatnot. Like, yeah, okay. But then I look at how I'm different from the world and how even the conversations I have are deeper and better. Set Apart in every aspect. I can be filled and pour out good things instead of...just average things. It's really interesting how we, as children of God, are set apart from the world. It's awesome.

But anyways. Yes! Bravery. I think about this a lot. Our world has become so twisted and the traditions thrown down have been collecting just junk. Our minds can get so clouded that the worn path before us filled with all of this dangerous stuff becomes "brave." We confuse ourselves and trick ourselves that the path that everyone has tread...hasn't. Because we're one of the brave, one of the few, eh? And those who do /not/ walk on the path are just afraid and lost.

Like, what? No. Back it way up, girl. That is so wrong. Because those are just lies. Only the brave dare to step off that path and rebel against the ways of the world. You have to be brave to accept that you are different from other people and the rejection they'll throw at you. I think that's where God -- our Rock, our Fortress, our Strength -- comes in. Because our flesh is so weak that we want to be accepted by the world. But our soul cries out and God fills us up with Him -- strength.

It's a really interesting topic with lots to say. XD I adored this podcast! I cannot wait for more. Muahah. But then again, I adore all of your posts because they are just that good. <3

  3. bravery is a song i'm still learning to sing, man. thank you so much for talking about this, for bringing it to the light. one thing i've been learning about lately is the quiet bravery. the kind that sits in the darkness, growing before we are even aware of it. that kind of bravery can only come from...fear i suppose. from being afraid. in our weakness, He is strong, yeah?

the world stinks. their idea of bravery is nothing. i'm only glad that the Lord continues to grow in us the kind of bravery that is going to shake everything. ♥ xx

  4. I love this so so much. The part about how when we downplay ourselves we are in reality downplaying God because we are not our own--I'll admit, that's a bit convicting for me. I tend to be the sort of person who is terrified to share my work and so I downplay it as much as possible so that nobody's hopes are dashed. But you're right--that's not bravery. That's fear and pride all mixed up into one ugly mess.

So yeah. Thanks for this. This is epically wonderful and I hope you post more soon!
