taking root : tea in review

I've gotten back into the goodness of tea, guys. It's been pretty fabulous.

I mentioned back in my cupcake post that there's this awesome farmers market where I live, (New England perks, y'all.) so there's all these great organic goodies available, even in the winter time, which is pretty darn awesome, not to mention it's also a bit of a local artist gathering, which is just...ahhhh, a whole other topic by itself, its so cool. But in any event, new tea = discovered.

I love Taking Root teas because they have a very whole, rich flavor and fragrance. I love a good Chai tea, and this one has a sweet/spicy milky tone to it that is absolutely delish.

It was also really lovely to be able to meet and purchase tea directly from the founder and owner of Taking Root, Lani Courtney who is an the Herbalist. Quoting from her website, (which you can/totally should check out here) she says "Taking Root is founded in the heart of herbalism - and therefore in the belief that nature has the desire to protect and heal itself."

Humans, however disconnected we may sometimes be, are also part of nature and share the same innate ability to heal ourselves

So to all my writing, tea-drinking friends-- go check out the site, there's loads of good stuff to discover and taste. Way too many tasty blends. (And of course I recommend the chai...mm, mmm.)
