last second Christmas gift ideas

I don't know about you, but every time I read Isaiah 9:6, I'm blown away. I mean, it's dynamic.

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

Unto us a Son is given.

Given.

Jesus was given.

Jesus was a gift.

Jesus gave himself.

To us.

The Son, Jesus, the one and only son was given to us as a gift.

As I realize, now more than ever, just how blessed we are and how blessed I am because of the Father, I discover and re-discover in me this burning desire to do the same; to bless others.

See, I believe we haven't been blessed simply so we can enjoy ourselves,

We have a Divine purpose and destiny to manifest the Glory of God on the Earth.

And, if you're like me, when you see photographs and footage of children in third world countries, extracting their drinking water from dirty, unsafe and polluted sources,

and when you see our planet's unprotected oceans and rain forests being torn apart without just cause,

when you see people abused and used and dehumanized,

when you see other species brutally and senselessly slaughtered and enslaved for the profit or pleasure of humans,

...something inside you just snaps.

It's like this anger builds up inside of you- not anger that forms hatred, but the kind of anger that gives birth to change.

Because of Jesus, we have been blessed beyond measure- and now we have the opportunity to be conduits of this beautiful life that we have been given.

Below, you'll find a stack of photographs, with short descriptions of what you can do to help change this planet we live on for the better. If one (or all) of these photos causes you to feel that inward burning to take action that I too felt, just click on the link below and it'll take you to a website where you can learn how to help.
