Raise the Shipwreck

"What are you interested in"

I've been asked this question more than a few times.

What do I like and do and dwell in and think on.

It's a good question,

with about a million answers,

but I'll try to make it brief.

I'm interested in reflections and mirrors.
And in light and water and sweet breezes.

I'm into dissecting feelings and emotions and ideas and truths and discovering their meanings and worth and affects and explaining them in length, going over their every syllable. Building it up like a skyscraper, so high it pierces the roof of your heart, allowing the light to filter down into it.

Reflections are what I work in and what works in me; I am a mirror. Pointed at the sun.
Reflecting light and warmth and soft, fragrant oxygen.

That's what I do.

That's what I'm interested in.

Anything in the beautiful now; anything that reflects light and glimmers with goodness and beauty and hope and love and rescue and restoration.

Anything that makes you loose your mind; anything that flings wide the doors of our narrow, limited understanding and comprehension, echoing the endless eternity of possibilities swirling around you.

A word
A sigh
A smile
A laugh

Shiny things and rainbows and ribbons and sunlight through light green leaves,

The scent of the ocean, the warmth of an embrace, a shiver of beauty, a touch of the new world pulsing around us.

Music and stories and songs and laughter.

Stargazing and cloud-drinking and sky-swimming.

That's me.

I live within these things and these things live within me for they are more than things, and, in fact are not things at all.

I'm interested in anything that glimmers with good and sparkles with beauty and laughter and hope and the sweetness of rebuilding and Resurrection;

Finding the lost.
Raising the dead.
Giving hope to the hopeless
and strength to the weak.

Pure, unabridged beauty, in the fullest.

It's in me

and around me

and it's in you.

It's in all of us, fighting and begging and burning to come out and create and restore and embrace us and ultimately change the world.

It's within us and around us, waiting to connect and manifest and simply be.

It's the first and last word

It's what we all dream about.

It's fresh air and light and beauty.

I raise shipwrecks.

Shipwrecks of beauty; bringing them back up to the surface and into the light; sailing them once again through an ocean polluted with hate and anger and death and violence and abuse; a world totally void of light a hope. A world starving to death for something different and life-giving; starving for a glimpse of good, a shred of purpose and an end to despair.

That's what I'm interested in.

I'm interested in hoisting a flag of new understanding and endless possibilities and love and compassion and wholeness.

Anything that spreads the message of love and peace and hope and rescue; proclaiming: "There is something beyond all this, and it's right here and now, echoing around us!"

Let's start living! For real!

Words that echos truth and good and power and love and peace; that's what I dwell in and create: Because this isn't a dead, dark, abandoned world! It's a city, a new city, bursting at the seams with beauty and creation and life and freedom and celebration.

It's contagious.

Let's spread it.

That's what I'm interested in.

...What about you?
