My Soul Glorifies the Lord...Praying for life and freedom for all Dolphins and Whales

Last night, I found out that a pod of 59 Bottle Nose Dolphins and 7 Risso's Dolphins had been driven into the Cove and slaughtered within an hour.

I cannot even figure out how to describe how I felt...
I was just.......crushed.

If you know me, you probably know how deeply I'm involved with these incredible animals.

Whales and Dolphins are amazing. I love them so much.

As soon as I found out about the dolphin slaughter in Taiji, After seeing the film: “The Cove”, my first thought was, after I got over the horrific shock of it all: "How can I help end this?"

I have been doing everything I can to help the dolphins and whales ever since. (My passion for whales goes back even further than The Cove film release, but that's another story.)

My friends and I started a prayer group on FaceBook for the Dolphins of Taiji and we currently have over 430 members who, every day, at 3:00PM, wherever they are, Pray for the dolphins of Taiji.

I pray for them whenever I think of them. I pray that, the people of Taiji and the people that support dolphinariums eyes be opened.
The captive dolphin and whale trade is intimately connected with the slaughters. You can't separate the two.

I just cannot imagine...what they're going through.

What are they thinking As nets close around them...? As they are separated from their parents, children, mates and pod members…? do they know what is happening? Do they know that they'll probably never see each other again? Never swim through the deep, blue, wonderful ocean again…?
What are they saying to one another, as they cry out in harmonious clicks and whistles?
Are they asking "What's happening to us?"
or just calling out a last: "I love you..."

Look into the dolphin's eye...

What do you see?

I see Love...peace...joy...understanding...pity, pity for us...hope, that we may one day understand...and an overwhelming peace from God.

I get that same feeling when I look up into the black night's sky, dotted with stars.

As I stand there...feeling so small underneath the canopy of God's awesomeness...

Not daring to breath...

I whisper into the darkness:

"He did ALL this... for me."

That thought is enough to bring tears to my eyes.

Weather I'm looking into space or into the eyes of a dolphin...God is there. He is in everything.

He formed us in his hand.

He breathed life into Earth.

He flung the universe into space with one word.

He did it all for us.

I found this beautiful piece of music, and fell in love with it. It's what inspired me to write all this. As you watch it, just think of all God has done...and He did it all for Us.

“My soul glorifies the Lord
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,"

"The Mighty One has done great things for me—

holy is his name.

His mercy extends to those who fear him,

from generation to generation.

He has performed mighty deeds with his arm;

he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.

He has brought down rulers from their thrones

but has lifted up the humble.

He has filled the hungry with good things

but has sent the rich away empty."
